Senior Project Manager

Katie serves as Project Manager for the Engaging Family, Friend, and Neighbor (FFN) Caregivers in the Early Childhood System Initiative. Previously, Katie played an integral role in supporting the Ideal Learning in Colorado and the Transforming the Early Childhood Workforce in Colorado Initiatives. Having served in multiple roles within the organization, Katie has gained a breadth of experience in the early childhood field including early childhood policy, systems building, stakeholder engagement, and community planning processes. Prior to her work in Colorado, Katie worked at the Medical University of South Carolina to streamline the pathology department’s processes, manage the Molecular Genomic testing service, and implement systemic improvements to advocate for patient safety.

Katie holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the College of Charleston. Katie also holds a Master of Arts in learning, developmental, and family sciences from the University of Colorado Denver. In July 201, Katie completed the Buell Early Childhood Leadership Program as part of Cohort 10.

Katie loves spending time with her wife, Sam, and their adored pets, Lily, Simba, and Mooshu. In her free time, Katie enjoys reading, heading to the batting cages, traveling, boating with family on the East Coast, and stand-up paddle boarding.
