Landes
Project Director
Emily Landes serves as Project Director and provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of Early Milestones’ work as lead agency for multiple projects and initiatives. Current projects include the Impact on Equity Initiative, Early Childhood Connect, the Rural Care Network, as well as other research and communications initiatives. Previously, she was Project Manager for the CIRCLE Grant Initiative, Expanding Ideal Learning in Colorado, and the Colorado Comprehensive Early Childhood Workforce Plan.
Before joining Early Milestones, Emily worked as a Program Manager at Vital Voices Global Partnership, implementing bilingual youth leadership programs and distributing social impact grants. Emily has also worked in El Salvador, Milwaukee, San Diego, and Belfast on human rights education projects for youth.
Emily received a master’s degree from the United Nations-mandated University for Peace in International Law and Human Rights Studies, where she focused on Children’s and Women’s Rights. Her bachelor’s degree is from Marquette University in International Relations with a concentration in Peace and Justice Studies with minors in Spanish and Women’s and Gender Studies.
In her spare time, Emily loves to be outdoors, skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, and exploring all Colorado has to offer.
