As Research Director, Casey leads efforts to support Early Milestones’ work across the Early Childhood Colorado Framework. Casey’s prior experience includes a mix of qualitative and quantitative research on preschool segregation and educator working conditions, as well as rollouts of 4-year-old kindergarten.
She earned a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2018 and has received funding from the National Science Foundation and Ford Foundation, among others, for her work on race and class inequities in preschools.
Casey lives in Denver and keeps busy with her husband and two young boys. She enjoys movies, puzzles, and wandering around museums—especially History Colorado.
