The pandemic’s academic and emotional toll may have left a greater impact on the youngest children in the nation. Parents are noticing a negative shift in their child’s social-emotional development and has affected their ability to learn, build relationships and manage emotions. Experts are suggesting parents talk to their children about their well-being and supporting them through the experiences they endured over the past year to help build academic skills.
