With students returning to the classroom this school year, educators have an opportunity to empower students by being mindful of the challenges the youngest students may be experiencing. The article provides 4 key mindsets of a trauma-responsive educator: relationships are everything, consistency creates safety, we can’t expect what we don’t teach, and student voices matter.
